Doohickey Cake

Morning everyone, I hope that you have all had a lovely summer, we are currently enjoying a bit of an Indian Summer here in the UK, but the nights are definitely pulling in now.

I was recently asked by a friend if I could make a card for her to give her friend, and the story was she was sixty almost a year ago and she was upset that she never had a party for her, so could I make the card for her surprise party and say that she is still sixty. This is what I made, and my friend said that it was perfect!

The cake is a special release Magnolia Doohickey and is available HERE, I have molded the icing a bit and built up the hot glue gun to give it a bit of depth. And then I went daft and added oodles of glitter, lol.

I have built the cake up on top of a pierced scalloped nesting die and for all of the paper on the card I have used different sheets from the 6x6 Maja Design paper pad 'Summertime' available HERE.

Thank you for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Tilda In Wonderland

Morning everyone, I have been wanting to update the clock in my craft room for a while, and as soon as I saw these stamps I knew I had to use these. I actually butchered my old clock for the mechanism, lol.

I've masked the two images together, first off I stamped TILDA IN WONDERLAND using a TIM HOLTZ STAMPING PLATFORM and making sure that the paper is flush to the edge, with the magnets in place as you don't want the paper to move. I then stmped the same tilda to a post it note, making sure that I stamped where it is sticky. The next step was to cut around Tilda pretty much on the outline, and then stick this over the stamped Tilda. This is where the platform comes into it's all, lay the image that you want to appear to be behind on top of Tilda in the place that you want, in this case it is the TILDA IN WONDERLAND CLOCK, close the lid to pick up the stamp, ink it up and then stamp. The beauty of this is if you need to add more ink then you can as your paper is firmly in place, and the stamp will stamp in the exact same place again.

I have coloured Tilda in with distress reinkers, to match the papers from Maja Design, I have used several sheets from the DENIM & FRIENDS 6x6 PAPER PAD, I mean she had to be in blue, right?

I have also used distress reinkers on the CLOCK but mailny for shadow and to make it look old.

I have cut a BACKGROUND HEARTS DOOHICKEY in two, and had it overhang the image here...

... and here.

Because of the hands of the clock going round I was a bit restricted as to what I could put on the rest of the canvas, I can't put nothing on, CAS isn't my style, lol, so I used the dies that come with the CLOCK and popped a pearl on too. I have also kept the hearts from the DOOHICKEY and dotted them around the canvas too.

Tilda With Plant

Good morning everyone, hope everyone in the UK is enjoying the summer, I know that I am!!

Today I have a card for you with TILDA WITH PLANT, I have coloured her with distress reinkers to match the SUMMERTIME 6X6 PAPER PAD from Maja Design.

I have chosen the blues and green papers from the pad, and distressed the edges.

A close us of the super sweet Tilda.

Tucked behind Tilda is a CHICKEN WIRE DOOHICKEY die cut.

Raspberry Tilda

Morning everyone, hope you are all OK. This is now my favourite time of year, summer is just starting, it's nice and warm and the days are lovely and long...

For my card today I have used Raspberry Tilda from the Fruit Salad collection, and coloured her with my distress reinkers.

I have used several sheets of paper from the 6x6 paper pad 'Summertime' from Maja Design. The nested circles have been cut out using 2 of the Pierced Scalloped Nested Dies from Gummiapan and I have added height by gluing corrugated card between the circles too.

This is one of the special release dies, it's a Bridal Bow Doohickey Die.

and here is my arty shot.

Froggy Tilda

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well! At last in the UK we have had a little glimpse of some warm weather, admittedly it didn't last for long and I was on nights one of the days, but still winter is far behind us now, yay!! So I decided to use the perfectly named papers from Maja Design, Summertime!! Check out the end of the post for the links to everything in the store.

I have coloured one of the Class Trip Tilda's in with my distress reinkers, this is Tilda with Froggy, I love his slightly perplexed expression, lol. I used one of the Gummiapan stitched ovals to cut her out, and placed one of the special release doohickeys behind. I don't like throwing away pretty cut outs from dies, so here I have scattered some of the hearts around the image too.

Here is a close up of the doohickey, and also of the gorgeous antique luxury ornament.

I simply adore both of the bow dies from Magnolia, and they have both been rereleased, this is the bridal bow, and I think that it is just so pretty.

Here is a close up of our gorgeous Tilda.

And my arty shot. This card is quite clean and simple for me, but when I have used so many gorgeous products I can't bring myself to cover them up.

From the store I have used;

Thank you so much for stopping by,

Sightseeing Tilda

Good morning everyone, Becky here with you today. The days here are slowly getting longer and warmer, and I am liking it, I really don't like the dark and cold.

Today I have used a few of the new goodies that Suha has in store, Tilda is from the Class Trip collection.

This cutie is Sightseeing Tilda, I have a list at the end of the post that will take you to the items that I have used instore. I have coloured her with distress reinkers to match the Denim & Friends collection from Maja Design.

This die is one of the re-released ones that have recently been released, this is Background Hearts and I have used Aquamarine monochrome from the same Maja Design paper collection.

I just had to use the Insta-Cam die, to match the camera that Tilda has round her neck.

Isn't this suitcase die the absolute cutest? I have used a few tiny brads to fasten the handle to the case, and then added a few flowers just because I can, lol.

Here is a close up of our gorgeous Tilda.

And my arty shot.

From the store I have used;

Class Trip - Sightseeing Tilda
Class Trip - Suitcase Die
Specila Release - Background Hearts
World Wide Web - Insta Love Cam
Maja Design - Denim & Friends - Heartbreaker
Maja Design - Denim & Friends - Fashion
Maja Design - Monochromes Shades of Denim - Aquamarine

The blog hop runs until 23. April!!
The DT will announce the winners on 24. April in the evening on their blogs.
And now let’s start the fun blog hop!!!
If you came from Diana you’re on the right track!
If you just happened on my blog, please CLICK HERE to start at the beginning.
I love this new collection, Tilda is so quirky with her fruit outfits, we don't know the names of the individual Tildas yet, but I am going to call this one Cherry Tilda.

I have coloured Tilda in with my distress reinkers to match my Maja Design papers. I have distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz tool, and then machine sewn them. Tucked behind Tilda I have a couple of CHICKEN WIRE die cuts. The small flowers are from the SAKURA BRANCH die set, with a pearl popped in the centre of each one. The larger flowers are HIBISCUS with the leaves from the LILAC die set tucked behind.

I have used glamor dust on the dots on her skirt, and glossy accents on her cherries. It isn't very often that I make a card without using stickles, and this card is no exception they are everywhere, along with texture paste.

Now it’s time to hop over to my very inspiring DT friend Camilla H! The blog Hop runs until 23. April!
And remember you only have the chance on winning a lovely prize from Magnolia Rubber Stamps, if you leave a comment on the blogs! Thank you so much stopping by and leave some love!
